And so this is Christmas, and what have I done...
Updated: Dec 24, 2020
As the year draws to an end, it’s time to reflect; time for internal retrospective; my own personal checks and balances.
2020 was to be the year I set out on the journey of my life’s purpose. I had set my intentions and made a plan. I was thrilled to embark upon this new and exciting post-retirement adventure. At least, that was the idea.
As it turns out, I, along with the rest of the planet, found myself revising and improvising. Creativity, which has always been second nature to me, allowed me to meet the necessity of a changing landscape. The year that I had been so looking forward to, presented challenges that I could never have imagined.
Despite the obstacles and difficulties that embodied 2020, I now find myself reflecting upon my journey with satisfaction and gratitude for the successes throughout the year.
As an artist, above all, I had to overcome my fear of failure and conquer the insecurity that had previously held me back. Happily, I can say that I created this new chapter in my life, and it’s absolutely exciting. Here I am, my website is live; I’m on Instagram and Facebook, sharing my passion with fellow art lovers. YES!!! I am finally doing what I love - creating art. It’s bright and cheery and it reflects the beauty and happiness that surrounds us daily.
So, as the year draws to an end, I am grateful and humbled by the interest my artwork has generated. I am filled with joy to know that a number of my paintings have found new homes and I pray they will contribute to the happiness of those who get to enjoy them for years to come.
I look forward to 2021. May we have the pleasure of meeting again.... perhaps at an art symposium...
Please stop by and say hello!
